Could you blame me?
"Hi, I'm Sonny."
I didn't say anything to him. I sat on my new lawn all those years ago. He was my neighbor. He extended his hand out to me thinking I wanted to play. My first day in a new house, I didn't want to move.
"Hunny, that's your new neighbor. It's okay to talk to him."
I remember his smile. His funny haircut and his blue eyes, bright, bright eyes.
"I'm Selena."
"My mom said you're new here. She said to make friends."
I smiled. Friends. I hadn't even started kindergarten at the time. It would be nice to have friends. We were only five back then. "You can call me Coco."
